Ram Kumar Rai, from Solukhumbu in eastern Nepal, is our trusted Sirdar with over 35 years of experience in the trekking industry. Starting as a porter and working his way up through roles as a kitchen assistant, cook, and now Sirdar, he has earned respect through dedication and hard work. Though not of Sherpa ethnicity, Ram Kumar embodies the same strength, warmth, and leadership that make him a key figure in our team.

Fluent in English, Hindi, and Nepali, he is also a certified nature guide, leading tours in wildlife reserves and national parks across Nepal. His deep knowledge of the Himalayas and calm presence ensure memorable and safe experiences for our clients. Outside of trekking, Ram Kumar is a devoted family man, skilled farmer, and a great storyteller who keeps the team entertained with his tales from the mountains.
