Detailed Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour Itinerary
You will be picked up from your hotel in Kathmandu early in the morning in a private vehicle and driven to Tribhuvan International Airport for your helicopter flight. The helicopter will take off from Kathmandu, offering a 45-minute scenic flight over the Himalayas to Lukla, the gateway to the Everest region. There will be a short stopover in Lukla for refueling (10-15 minutes) before flying to Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters) or Kalapatthar 5,644 meters (18,519 feet). Along the way, you’ll fly over Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Monastery, and other iconic sites, reaching Kalapatthar for stunning panoramic views of Mount Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, and more. You’ll have a short stop (10-15 minutes) for photos at Kalapatthar, as extended stays are not recommended due to altitude. Next, you’ll fly to Syangboche and land at the Everest View Hotel (3,880 meters) for breakfast, where you can enjoy a leisurely meal with spectacular mountain views. Afterward, the helicopter will fly back to Lukla for refueling before continuing the journey back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will be transferred back to your hotel.
