We spend our second-day sightseeing in the beautiful city of temples. Our guide you escort you throughout your short Kathmandu tour. You can take this opportunity to visit various world heritage sites like Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath. You are likely to be stunned by the unique architecture of temples and buildings that holds the pride of the city. We will be taking short walks in different parts of the city to take a close look at various aspects that forms Kathmandu; from food to local culture. In the afternoon, we will be returning back to our accommodations and start preparing for the trip ahead. Discussions will be conducted and any queries of yours will be answered by our team. We will be staying overnight in Kathmandu
Today, our journey begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi, a picturesque village nestled amidst the majestic Himalayas. The road trip takes approximately 7 hours, offering glimpses of Nepal’s stunning landscapes along the way. Upon reaching Syabru Besi, we will be warmly welcomed by our Sherpa team at the Tea House or Lodge. Expect a delightful reception with refreshing snacks, setting the tone for our adventure ahead. We’ll settle in for the night at Syabru Besi, anticipating the exciting experiences that await us in the days to come.
Today’s trek spans approximately 6 hours, leading us through diverse landscapes and breathtaking vistas. Starting at the Bhote Kosi, we ascend a steep grassy mountainside, passing through Sherpa Gaon and the Tibetan village of Kakdinma. As we climb, Ganesh Himal looms closer, offering a majestic backdrop. Resting at Bhanjyang, we savor the panoramic mountain views before descending towards Syabru Village. Continuing our journey, we wind through Sherpa Gaon and cattle pastures, finally arriving at the Lama Hotel. Here, nestled by the Langtang Khola, we find respite for the night, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the Himalayas.
The Naya Kanga Peak Climbing Itinerary takes you over a range of challenging terrains till you reach Langtang village after departing from the Lama Hotel. The next stop along the journey is some of the region’s most breathtaking landscapes. The trail takes you through a forest with oak and rhododendron trees on your way to the Lantang Khola. The fir and maple trees border the paths. After a strenuous trek, you will arrive at a viewpoint from where you can see Mount Langtang Lirung (7244 meters).
You have to cross a bunch of suspension bridges to arrive at Ghora Tabela. The Ghora Tabela trails pass by several mani walls, chortens, and prayer wheels before arriving at Langtang. The picturesque Langtang village is part of the Langtang National Park. The hamlet of the settlement has several flat-roofed houses with stone walls. Large fields of buckwheat, potatoes, and barley may be found. Hikers that arrive in Langtang may soak in the magnificent scenery before relaxing by staying the night there.
In the morning, we’ll venture through the village and ascend to a chorten, offering a memorable view of an extensive mani stonewall. Passing terraced hills, villages, and riverbeds, we’ll cross Lirung Glacier to behold the towering peaks of Kimshun (6745 m) and Yansa Tsenji (6543 m). Continuing, we traverse an old lateral moraine to reach Kyanjin Gompa, home to a government rest house, cheese factory, and monastery. The trek spans about 3 hours, rewarding us with breathtaking 180-degree mountain vistas at eye level.
In the afternoon, you have the option to relax amidst the mountain scenery or ascend the northern flank of Chair Pooch Peak (4000 m). From the peak, enjoy panoramic views of Langtang Lirung (7245 m), Ganesh Himal in the west, Ganjala Himal in the south, and a glimpse of the pass leading to Helambu.
You can choose how to spend your time today. May be wake at 4.30 am this morning for an optional walk to Kyanjin-Ri 4773 m / 15655 ft for a stunning sunrise and breath-taking panorama of the Langtang Himalayan range, Kinshung, Yansa Tsenji and the foot of the tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung.
or in a similar way, hike up to Tserko-Ri 4985m/16355ft. It’s a tough, 1.5 – 3 hour hike up a switch back trail in the dark, gaining 1000+ metres of elevation along the way. If you’d prefer, sleep in and have a relaxing breakfast before heading out to explore the village and learn more about the lifestyles of the Tamang and Hyolmo communities. We can also visit the Kyanjin Gonpa (monastery) and the cheese factory there. You could also take a short hike up to the glacier or try one of several interesting walks around the village.
You will depart from Kyanjin Gompa in the direction of Naya Kanga Base Camp after breakfast to begin your ascent of Naya Kanga Peak. The route ascends a slope after crossing the Langtang River. The base camp is located on a small plateau south of Kyanjin. The route winds through forests of oak and lush rhododendron. To get to the base camp, you will need to hike down the rocky, steep trail. You will reach the lush meadows after a period of strenuous ascent. Awe-inspiring panoramic views of the towering mountains and yaks grazing on the pastures are seen. Upon your arrival, you will continue to explore the region near the Naya Kanga Base Camp. You will spend the night in a tent camp in the surroundings of the base camp.
After having breakfast, you will start your climbing journey from Naya Kanga Base Camp. You can observe the panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains and green hills. The walk today is along rocky paths, boulders, and finally along a glacier. It’s a short climb and you will set camp in a glacier part to prepare for our next day’s climb. The guide will brief you on climbing techniques and other essentials for the peak climb. On reaching, the high camp you can acclimatize and explore the area. After walking for around 7 hours, you will arrive at the High Camp. The stunning views of the majestic mountains provide incredible scenic views. You will stay overnight at a tented camp in the High camp.
It’s an early day and a most important one as we are to submit the Naya Kanga (5844m). We wake up at 4 am and after breakfast, move towards the summit. With rope support at places, the climb is slow and demanding, but not too technical. From the top, you can enjoy the panorama of Himalayan peaks and even the Tibetan parts. We stay at the summit for some time and return back to the base camp. Overnight stay in a tented camp.
You will begin your descent from Naya Kanga Base Camp toward the Langtang village after breakfast, passing by the Kyanjin Gompa. Today’s route winds through juniper bushes on both sides. You will reach the Kyanjin Gompa after a few distances before continuing on to Langtang village. You will reach the Langtang village after a short journey, where you will spend the night at the teahouse and have a little celebration for reaching the summit.
After breakfast, your trip from the Langtang village to the Lama Hotel will begin. As you descend a hill amid rhododendron forests, the stroll will be enjoyable. You will follow the same route you did previously, traveling through the woods and villages of the Tamang. The hike provides an alternate viewpoint of the mountains you previously witnessed. Your body’s operations are facilitated by the thickening of the air as you lower altitude. You will spend the night at a teahouse inside the Lama Hotel.
You will depart from Lama Hotel in the morning and travel via Sherpa Gaon to reach Syabrubesi. Bamboo and rhododendron woods make up the majority of your path. If you are fortunate, you could also see a wild boar in the forest, along with various kinds of animals and birds. You will get a 360-degree view of the mountains and lush hills from the route as well. You will go past Tamang and Sherpa communities on this upper, wider track.
Prior to making a sharp drop to the Syabrubesi, the route first descends softly. Moreover, a hydroelectric facility called the Chilime Power Plant is located nearby. The Tamang community may be seen, along with their Tibetan-influenced way of life. Throughout the trek, you may see the magnificent Himalayan Alps. After a five-hour hike, you will arrive at Syabrubesi in the evening. At Syabrubesi, you will spend the night at a teahouse.
Morning transfer either by car or coach as well as taking a tourist bus (depending on the group size), where an interesting overland journey brings you back to Kathmandu with scenic views of mountains, green scenery of hills, and farm fields within nice villages and towns as the drive leads into the hustle and bustle of the of the city life of Kathmandu.
On reaching Kathmandu, transfer to your respective hotels with time for individual activities and shopping for souvenirs.
On your final day in Nepal, following an amazing experience and adventure at Naya kanga Peak with excellent service from Lhasso Adventure, transfer to Kathmandu International Airport in accordance with your international flight to return home or to your respective destinations.
