A representative from Lhasso Adventure will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu upon your arrival in Nepal and transport you to our hotel. You will have some free time to relax, eat, and freshen up. In the evening, we will meet for team introductions, trip orientation, and to address any general questions. Afterward, we’ll head out for a welcome dinner at our favorite local restaurant.
Departure from Kathmandu is at 7:30 a.m. via private bus. The journey to the river takes approximately 3 hours. Upon arrival, some members help rig the rafts and organize gear while others prepare lunch on the riverbank. After enjoying lunch, your river guide will provide a safety briefing. The first rafting section begins afterward and lasts about 3 hours. You will navigate the initial rapids, including Kuhebhir and Left Drop, which are perfect for familiarizing yourself with the river. The day ends at Kuhebhir, where you will stay overnight in a tented camp.
Wake up to the morning sunshine with breakfast served at 7:30 a.m. Teamwork is encouraged as you help pack the gear and get ready for the day’s rafting. After a 2–3 hour morning session, we stop for lunch around noon. The afternoon includes another 2–3 hour stretch, taking us to the overnight campsite near Punch & Juddy rapids. This section is ideal for refining rafting skills and experiencing some moderate rapids like Mid-Grander.
The morning routine continues as on previous days. Today’s rafting includes slightly more challenging sections. You will encounter rapids such as Punch & Juddy, High Anxiety, Motorcycle, and Harkapur 1, 2, and 3. Active participation on your guide’s commands is essential for navigating safely. The day concludes at Raighat, where you will camp for the night.
Today, enjoy the beauty of the river’s natural surroundings, including playful troops of monkeys and diverse birdlife along the banks. Rapids like Jaws, Big Hole, and Rhino Rock provide thrilling experiences while allowing for scenic appreciation. Overnight is spent at Rashuwaghat.
After several days of rafting, today takes you through the high-volume section of the Sun Koshi River. Key rapids in this section include Chamereghat and Darsandhungat. The day ends at Ranitar, where the final riverside camp is set up for the night.
This is the last day on the river. The rafting expedition concludes at Chatara, where you will enjoy lunch provided by your guide. From Chatara, you will board a night bus to return to Kathmandu. This day is also a great time to reflect on your journey and share experiences with your group.
This is the final day of your Sun Koshi River Rafting adventure. After breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu, you can prepare for your onward journey. Depending on your flight or travel schedule, you may have some free time for last-minute shopping or sightseeing before heading to the airport for departure. Your tour concludes with memories of an unforgettable rafting expedition with Lhasso Adventure
