"Live The Adventure Of A Lifetime"
The Nepal School Expedition – Shivapuri is a 9-day educational adventure that combines cultural immersion, leadership development, community service, wilderness camping, and trekking through the scenic landscapes of Shivapuri National Park. Designed for school groups, the expedition encourages students to build confidence, teamwork, and resilience through meaningful experiences beyond the classroom.
The journey begins in Kathmandu, where students explore Nepal’s rich cultural heritage before travelling to Sundarijal, the gateway to Shivapuri National Park. From here, a scenic hike leads to the traditional Tamang village of Okhreni, offering students their first experience of Nepal’s peaceful countryside.
Students spend three days participating in a meaningful community service project at the local primary school, working alongside teachers, students, and local residents. Camping in the village provides a unique opportunity to experience rural Nepal, strengthen friendships, and develop practical leadership and teamwork skills in a natural setting.
The adventure continues with a rewarding trek through oak and rhododendron forests, passing traditional Tamang settlements and diverse wildlife habitats on the way to Chisapani. Crossing Borlang Bhanjyang Pass (2,466 m), the highest point of the trek, students are rewarded with breathtaking views of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Jugal Himalayan ranges on clear days.
After descending to Chauki Bhanjyang, the group returns to Kathmandu for a final evening of reflection and celebration. Before departure, students have time to explore the vibrant streets of Thamel, making the perfect end to an expedition that combines service learning, outdoor adventure, cultural discovery, and personal growth into one unforgettable educational experience.
