"Live The Adventure Of A Lifetime"
The Pikey Peak Trek is an 11-day guided trek in Nepal’s lower Everest region, perfect for travelers who want wide Himalayan views, peaceful trails, and Sherpa culture without following the crowded Everest Base Camp route. The trek reaches Pikey Peak at 4,065 meters, where sunrise opens a stunning panorama of Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, Thamserku, Numbur, and other eastern Himalayan peaks.
With Lhasso Adventure, this journey is not just about walking from one village to another. Lhasso Adventure is a Nepal-based trekking and adventure company founded in 2011, bringing 15 years of experience in organizing Himalayan journeys across Nepal, Tibet, Bhutan, and India. The company focuses on safe itineraries, local knowledge, cultural connections, and smooth field management, so trekkers can enjoy the trail without worrying about daily logistics.
During the Pikey Peak Trek, Lhasso Adventure provides experienced local guides who understand the route, altitude, weather, village culture, and walking pace needed for a comfortable trek. Your guide helps with navigation, teahouse coordination, communication with locals, and day-to-day trail support. For many travelers, this makes the experience feel less confusing and much more personal.
Like many trusted trekking companies in Nepal, Lhasso Adventure can also arrange common trekking support such as a duffel bag, sleeping bag, down jacket, trekking map, first-aid support, walking poles on request, and basic safety guidance depending on the package terms. The team also manages transport from Kathmandu, accommodation, meals during the trek, permits, and porter support when included.
This trek is ideal for travelers looking for a short Everest view trek from Kathmandu, a quiet alternative to EBC, and a guided Himalayan experience with a local company that knows how to balance safety, scenery, culture, and comfort.

After breakfast, you’ll begin by descending along the ridgeline. Once you leave, there are several descent options to reach Junbesi. The most probable route is a stunning shortcut that veers off the mountain shortly after Jase and steeply descends through lush old-growth forest to Taktor. This path intersects with the Everest Base Camp trek from Jiri. As you progress, you’ll notice more established tea shops and may encounter other trekkers for the first time.
Today, we’re embarking on a local tour. Our first stop is the Thupten Choling Gompa, a historic monastery dating back to the 19th century. We’ll hike up to the Gompa following the Junbesi Khola. The monastery provides fascinating insights into the cultural and religious heritage of the region. After spending some time exploring, we’ll return to Junbesi and stay overnight at a lodge.
Today, we’ll keep going down the sandy path next to the Junbesi Khola until we reach a steel suspension bridge. Once we cross the bridge, we’ll arrive at Beni Ghat. Before we get to Phaplu, we’ll keep trekking along a beautiful path. We can explore the area around as we leave the Rolwaling region behind. We’ll spend the night at a guesthouse in Phaplu.
We’ll have breakfast in Phaplu before starting our journey to Kathmandu in a private jeep. Recalling our trip to Pikey Peak, we expect the drive to take about 8 hours to reach Kathmandu. Please note that although there’s an airport in Phaplu, regular flights aren’t available. However, if you prefer, we can arrange a charter flight from Phaplu to Kathmandu.

You’ll visit UNESCO World Heritage sites like Boudhanath, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, and Pashupatinath Temple. You can choose any four places from this list to visit with the tour guide.
