Born in 1984 in Kavre Roshi-11, Nepal, Shyam grew up amidst the hills of Nepal, developing a profound connection with the mountains and the rugged landscapes that define his homeland. This deep bond eventually inspired him to pursue a career as a trekking guide, a journey he began in 2008.

Although Shyam holds a Master’s degree in Management from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, his true passion lies in the great outdoors. For over a decade, he has led trekking and expedition groups from around the world, guiding them through Nepal’s most breathtaking and challenging trails. His expertise spans across renowned trekking destinations, including Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, Kanchenjunga, Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Dolpo, Rolwaling, and Khaptad National Park.

Currently, Shyam is associated with Lhasso Adventure and works with international partners such as Wildland Trekking (USA), World Challenge (UK), Explora Travel (Australia), Wild Medic (Australia), Backpacker (USA), Karuna Adventure (USA), among others. Through these collaborations, he has had the privilege of sharing Nepal’s beauty, culture, and adventure with travelers from all over the world.

For Shyam, guiding is more than just a job—it’s about creating meaningful experiences, fostering a love for the mountains, and ensuring the safety and well-being of those who join him on these journeys. The mountains are his home, and he takes immense pride in introducing them to the world.
