Volunteering Project in Devi Balsudhar School

Lhasso Adventure started partnering with World Challenge and Mother and Children Art Foundation since 2009, hosting teams from different parts of the world to do community project in Nepal. Lhasso Adventure will provide you a life changing volunteering experience, with over 9 years of experience in organizing volunteering trips all over Nepal, to create educational programs and improving life conditions. We provide 24-hr operational support to teams, thanks to expertise and high standards. Volunteering in Nepal can be the perfect combination between helping whom in needs and experienced amazing trekking in the tallest peaks in the world.

Another successfully volunteering project was been concluded at the school Devi Balsudhar in the community of Gokarna Suntakhan. The team project Barr Beacon School from UK has worked from the 26^th to 28^th of July to promote a better environment at the school, exchanging culture and activities with the local people. At their arrival the school community welcomed the team and the principal delivered a welcome speech. Colorful scarfs called Khada, flowers and red tika on their forehead were offered at the team, together with typical Nepali dance from the students. Afterwards, the team was taken for a short tour around the project area.

The team met the headmaster of the school to discuss about the plans and agreed on the following tasks: purchased metal column for the roof and stairs; painting and drawing the classrooms.

Along side with the work project the team was able to interact with the students and local community by taking part in cooking class to discover the real Nepali cusine, giving English class and play with the children.

On the last day as a farewell a ceremony was organized, where the team performed a song that they prepared along with the distribution of scarfs, red tika and appreciation letters. The headmaster also delivered an appreciation speech for the team. The community will now beneficiate of a better school environment and the team will forever remind this life time experience that can fulfill every volunteering desire.
